I don’t always meditate, but when I do, I’m not thinking of anything.

I don’t always stay present in the moment, but when I do, there I am.

I don’t always focus on my breath, but when I do, I’m connected to everything.

I don’t always practice lovingkindness, but when I do, I really care what happens.

I don’t always practice detachment, but when I do–who cares? I’m detached.

I don’t always attempt to create space, but when I do:

I don’t always accept the moment the way it is, but even if I don’t, there it is.

I don’t always look at things with Beginner’s Mind, but when I do, it’s fresh.

I don’t always spend time on reflection, but when I do, I often wonder how it went.

I don’t always search for tranquility, but when I do, it brings me equanimity and peace.

Stay Zen, my friends. TZT
